Evidence from Whose Line Is It Anyway

Every now and then in improv, we are reminded that we should avoid plot and planning ahead and instead, deal with how we feel about our scene partner's character and living in the moment. We are also told that it's the brain of the male who tends to plot and plan ahead while it's the mind of the female who is more likely to live in the moment and deal with their scene partner in an emotional way. Then, I watched this scene from Whose Line Is It Anyway:

In this scene, they're playing the game of Sound Effects. While here, Colin is telling Ryan how they are going to get out of a Nazi Germany POW camp. The woman from the audience who are providing the sound effects start giving the sound of what Colin and Ryan are talking about while they're just talking about what they're going to be doing. It has to be stated in the scene that hopefully the sound effects won't happen until they actually do it. It's funny because the women are getting ahead of them soundwise. But clearly, especially when done in the game of Sound Effects, it would be better to just act and not plan. This always is used in my mind as to the idea that men tend to plot more and women tend to emotionially react to the moment.
